Sheila Djiwatampu designs reversible totes with bright colors and patterns. Sheila studied design in Indonesia and Switzerland and graduated from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. After graduation, she worked as a designer at Channel One, based in Los Angeles, and for Lego in New York City.
When not designing, Sheila and her friends operate a nonprofit organization in Indonesia called Bengkel Amal. Translated, Bengkel Amal means “charity repair shop.” The organization was so named because distribution of aid and relief to impoverished populations in Indonesia does not always reach those most in need. Bengkel Amal supports direct, local aid efforts in the areas of education, employment, health services, and natural disaster relief.
